NTG5.5 Map Code

Map activation codes for Mercedes COMAND Online NTG5.5 vehicles.

Mercedes NTG5.5 map activation code

NTG5.5 is the later COMAND Online generation used before the MBUX transition. During a USB map update the car can ask for a Map License Key, Navi PIN, activation code or PIN code. The code must match the VIN, region and map version.

Common compatible models

NTG5.5 is commonly found in facelift and late COMAND vehicles, including W205 C-Class facelift, W213 E-Class pre-facelift, C238/A238 E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet, W222/W217 S-Class facelift, C257 CLS, X253 GLC facelift, X290 AMG GT 4-Door and later W463 G-Class variants.

How to identify NTG5.5

  • The system is COMAND Online rather than MBUX.
  • The central display is not the newer MBUX tablet-style interface.
  • Many cars still use the COMAND controller or touch controller area.
  • If the update screen asks for a map PIN while using a COMAND USB update, NTG5.5 is a likely match.

Regions and imported cars

NTG5.5 region compatibility matters. Vehicles built for Korea, Japan, Southeast Asia or Taiwan may reject map packages from a different region unless the head unit region has been changed first. Do not guess the region: order only the map package that matches the vehicle.

Common problems

  • USB stick is not valid: often caused by a region mismatch or an incorrectly prepared map USB.
  • Installation failed after a large version jump: the car may need a compatible intermediate or erase-style update path.
  • Code rejected: usually means VIN, region, head unit generation or map version does not match the order.

How to order

Use the order form on the home page, select NTG5.5, choose the correct region and version, enter the VIN and complete payment. The result is displayed after processing and sent by email.
