Mercedes NTG7 map activation code
NTG7 is the second-generation Mercedes MBUX platform. It started with newer luxury models and then moved into the wider model range. If a manual USB map update asks for a Map License Key, Navi PIN or activation code, the order details must match the exact vehicle and update package.
Common compatible models
NTG7 / MBUX Gen 2 is commonly used in W223 S-Class, W206 C-Class, W214 E-Class, W167 GLE/GLS facelift, V297 EQS, X296 EQS SUV, V295 EQE, X294 EQE SUV and other newer MBUX vehicles.
How to identify NTG7
- Many cars have a tall portrait-style centre touchscreen.
- The interface is newer than NTG6 and relies heavily on touch input.
- There is no classic COMAND rotary controller.
- Some model years also support over-the-air map updates through Mercedes services.
USB updates and OTA updates
If Mercedes Me still provides active over-the-air map updates for the vehicle, a manual activation code may not be needed. This page is for manual USB map updates where the car explicitly requests a license key or PIN.
Common problems
- USB stick is not valid: usually a region mismatch or a USB preparation problem.
- Update restarts or stops: NTG7 map packages can be large, so stable power and a good USB drive matter.
- Navigation entitlement missing: a code will not fix a vehicle where navigation is not enabled at the vehicle account or feature level.
- Newest map rejected: the head unit firmware may be too old for the selected version.
How to order
Use the order form, select NTG7, choose the matching region and map version, enter the VIN and complete payment. The portal displays the result after processing and sends the same result by email.
